06 and 07 tryouts will be held at the Johnson Arena at PIngree High School on:

February 27th at 7:00 p.m.

March  6th at 7:00 p.m.

Try outs are free. Our program is not about making money.  Waiver and contact information will be collected at the door.

In advance of Tryout we would love to have your player attend a practice or two.  Attending a practice is a great way for us to evaluate your player and for you to evaluate our program.  Practice schedule can be found on the home page master schedule.   Please contact coach or Bill Heney in advance.  Contact information is below.

Our home rinks are Governors Academy, Pingree and Endicott College.  Example of schedule can be found by reviewing this years Pee Wee schedule on the home page.

We are accepting applications for Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches at several levels. Please contact Bill Heney if you are a good coach and looking to help.

We are entering our third season playing in the New England Premier Hockey League of New England. www.thenephl.com.     We will have two teams playing in playing in the Pee Wee division.    Pee Wee Major birth year 06 and Pee Wee Minor birth year 07.

30 League games. 15 home/15 away.  For comparison purposes our teams played approximately 30 games this year including tournaments and 18 games were home games.   The NEPHL games start in late September and finish the first week in March.

  • Coaching staff. HS coaches running several practices.  Coaches include Bill Heney, Brian Heney and Sean Keefe.  We open and welcome other coaches that want to coach or help coach a team.
  • League games with playoffs PHL.
  • Independently scheduled non-league games
  • 1 Tournament (TBD)
  • 60+ hrs of on ice team practices (September-March)
  • 16 In Season Skills Program.  Rick and I are interviewing Coaches now for next year’s skill sessions.
  • Goaltender Skills Instructed by Stop It Goaltending
  • Practice socks, practice jersey, & game socks.

*The only “add ons” that we expect will be the performance training and summer ice.  We will need to work hard this summer.

Thanks for considering the NS Hawks.    We want your player to practice and improve.   We will have great practices.  The NEPHL provides us League recognition and competition that will challenge our players.  You know our philosophy- we are not about building the best team and winning a bunch of youth hockey games.  We want to teach young athletes and develop athletes that can compete at the HS level and beyond.   Rick and I started in 2008 and we have several players playing Varsity and JV at Hamilton/Wenham, Rockport Danvers, Masco, Pentucket, Essex Tech, Pingree, Taft, Governor's Academy, SJP and Cardigan Mountain.
